How to download Pinterest videos

Pinterest has no save option for video pins — the built-in download button only handles static images, which is why saving a video pin normally means screen recording it. This downloader resolves the actual video file behind a pin so you can keep the original.

It works for standard video pins and for most Idea Pins, using either the full pinterest.com/pin/ URL or a pin.it short link from the mobile app.

Open the pin and copy its link — use the share icon → Copy link, or the address bar.
Paste it above and click 'Get Download Link'.
Preview the clip and pick a quality if several are offered.
Click Download to save the MP4.
For a multi-page Idea Pin, only the page you linked to is resolved — copy each page's link separately.

How do I save a Pinterest video without screen recording?

Paste the pin's link above. You get the original MP4 exactly as Pinterest stores it — full resolution, correct frame rate and with sound. Do pin.it short links work?

Can I download from a secret board?

No. Pins on a secret board are visible only to your logged-in account and its collaborators, and cannot be resolved without that session.

Why is the video lower quality than expected?
